Sara Aguilar, Co-Director/Producer

Sara Aguilar is a documentary filmmaker, editor, director, and cultural activist born in El Salvador & based in Los Angeles. Her work is deeply rooted in community and uplifting marginalized narratives. Sara works closely with artists and organizations to document the transformative power of art as a tool of empowerment, healing, and resistance. Her work often highlights the stories of the Central American diaspora and the contributions of immigrant communities in Los Angeles. She has worked with The National Endowment for the Arts, The Alliance for California Traditional Arts, and Justice for My Sister among others.

Pete Galindo, Co-Director/Producer

Pete Galindo is a Los Angeles–based producer, director, and cultural strategist with over 25 years of experience creating stories rooted in identity, memory, and resistance. His work includes Vendedores Presente, a documentary series on LA street vendors commissioned by LACMA and Snap Inc., and We Are Leimert, a film celebrating cultural preservation in South LA. Galindo’s music video credits include San Cha’s Deja que el Mundo se Prenda, Mitre’s Los Santos del Amor, and Alih Jey’s Mi Debilidad (Junto a Cuñao), blending performance and symbolic imagery to uplift Latinx voices. Galindo teaches public art and storytelling at Otis .
